A friend of mine telephoned me that his computer made a beep sound after he replaced a coin battery on the motherboard and tried to boot the machine. When I went to his house I was a little surprised to find that he had visited the page of Beep Sound Pattern on my website.
His PC was Dell Dimension 8400. The beep codes of Dell differ from those of Ami and Award; the beep doesn't repeat with a pattern composed of long "Beeeeeep"sounds, not short "beep" ones. I added a description of the Dell beep code on my page with a sound file I record, hoping it would be useful for Dell users. Have a listen to it.
Anyway, judging from the beep code, I detected a problem with memory module. Of course my friend's PC recovered and he appreciated it very much.
If the warning of "system battery voltage is low" is displayed during the startup, it means you should replace the coin battery on the motherboard.
The socket of the battery has a tab on it. When the tab is pressed, the battery rises slightly and it might be easily taken out. If a beep sound is still heard after the replacement, the computer should be kept unconnected with a power cable for hours. And then place the memory card some time later again. This procedure is likely to bring the problem to an end.
For your reference, the memory card can be taken out from the socket by knocking over the levers on both ends of the card. To insert the card into the socket, make sure to push downward equally. If the lever rises with a clang, it is the sign that the card is properly placed . If you find it hard to press the card equally, you could press each end separately.
Some cards of extended slots on the motherboard sometimes disturb your work. Then remove them, and you can work more easily.
My friend wrote an essay on the trouble of a coin battery replacement. There is a summary and a lesson he learned from it. Please refer to it by all means. The link is "The Report on the Coin Battery Replacement".

A Happy New Year! I hope I could manage some time to make a lot of contents this year. A blog is a very popular platform to write your personal opinions freely. So will I write "what's new " in a blog style? To make proper contents is difficult but to write a blog is not, it seems.
I used to read Asimov's scientific essays and found the preface based on his personal stories more interesting than the essays themselves. I will make every effort to have the visitors to my site think "what's new" is more interesting than the contents are.
You may find my essay "The Pattern of Beep Sound" coming the third when you google "biipu on(beep sound)" in Japanese. Half a year ago it probably came the 10th. Yes, it has got ahead. Because of its popularity I will add auxiliary explanation.
Originally the page of "The Pattern of Beep Sound" was written as a supplement to "Beep Sounds Related to Problems During Startup of Computers”. But it turns out that the supplementary page has more visitors than the main page.
I wrote the essay "The Pattern of Beep Sound" , which is now most read in my website, intending to share my experience with my computer. Here is my story.
One day my PC didn't boot up but only beeped. I managed to restore; in my case, I pulled out the internal memory and reinserted it. But that was not the end of the story. I turned on the PC, and yet it did nothing but beep again. I gave it up that day, and the next day I turned on the PC again. Then voila! the PC booted normally this time. It was likely that the unwanted static electricity had gone out of the motherboard of the PC.
Here is a lesson. Don’t give up if the PC doesn't boot soon after the reinsert of the memory. Take enough time and turn on the PC again.
am an Amazon associate member. The other day I got my first fee payment notice from Amazon. I got you know
someone had bought many DVD and books about TV program
As for me, I
would rather borrow them than buy. Tsutaya(*) has all the episodes
of "Bewitched, so I borrowed Serena’s
season. In the episode 4
the fourth season she caused an uproar; the photograph of Serena
coming out of a prison appeared in newspaper. Everyone thought that
she was Samantha.
Serena is a character who wears hippie-style mini-skirts, good at singing and playing the guitar. I like her style.
(*)Note: Tutaya is the largest DVD and music CD’s rental shop in Japan.
I had a modest New Year's party with my self-employed friends in Tonoyama Garden, a barbecue restaurant with little separated cottage-like rooms. There is a small paddock where you can ride a horse, but we couldn't because it was dark at night.
who helps edit English version of "Topics", came along as our guest. She
is soon getting the master in the field of biochemistry in Chiba
University. It is a
great accomplishment, isn't’t
There was another person worthy of special mention. He had appeared in an NHK TV program “Eigode Shabera-Night”, an English talk show, as a local guest when they did public recording in Urayasu, a city of Chiba Prefecture. He said he had a good time because he was treated as a VIP.
And another friend of mine, who is a civil engineer, also took part in the party. The party would not have been perfect without him.
It was fun to have an occasion where various professionals gathered. I could enjoy an intellectual conversation. If you are interested in an intellectual conversation, how about trying to read “The Return of the Black Widowers”?
Please refer to the table on the right. There are more than 1,500 visitors in November and December each.
The dry air, which is typical
climatic phenomenon on the Pacific side of Japan in winter, causes
static electricity, and in turn it leads to trouble with computers,
making beep sound. As a
result, the page dealing with beep sound might have received many
visitors. This is what I speculate.
Anyway I am pleased to have more than 1,500 visitors in my website, the figure I didn't expect before.
Light acts like a particle when it interacts atom. It acts like a wave when it does not interact atom. The light of a lamp doesn't collide with that of a television. The interaction between a photosensitive atom and a light produces a photograph, when it acts like a particle. Light goes through space as an electromagnetic wave. Radio wave needs an antenna for propagation and so does light. Its antenna is atom. The light from an atom interacts other atoms as an article and when the light is between the atoms it acts like a wave. But is there any medium of light waves just like water which is served as a medium of water waves? Light is an electromagnetic wave traveling through space. What is the space through which light propagates ? We need to study on space to learn more about light.
The other day I bought an inverted pendulum Puppy, an experimental tool to learn modern control system theory. I remember there was a plan suggested to buy a tool to learn the theory when I worked with co-developers of aluminum extrusion control system. If I remember correctly, it cost more than 300,000 yen. Puppy costs only 30,000 yen. Don't you agree We are living in the age suited to learn modern control system theory?
The most interesting DVD I have seen recently is “Freaky Friday” starring Lindsay Lohan. It is an old style American slapstick comedy. Lindsay sings and acts very well. Needless to say, she is cute. I saw “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” and “Mean Girls” as well. In “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” she looks cute in retrospective clothes. In the album “Speak” she sings pop rock, which you can enjoy. I like her seductive singing. She was probably born with a good sense of rhythm. I am looking forward to hearing her next album to be released soon.
I like Drew Barrymore’s “Music and Lyrics”. It is cool. I can learn how to make a song; every musician seems to make efforts to create music. I remember the days when I was keen on composition. By the way, don't you think she was prettier when she performed in “Wedding Singer" in 1998?
May 1, 2008(The original Japanese version was written on November 2, 2007.)
Isn't it strange to write "what's new" even though I haven't renewed any contents?
It is a great idea, isn't it?
I like to express myself in the page of "The Lounge". There I wrote another review about some DVDs I watched . I feel good when I arrange the page of "The Lounge" with the image of my own oil panting as well as my favorite music and articles about the DVDs I like. The number of access to the page has been increasing since I added more reviews on DVDs.
Please look at the table on the right. There were a larger number of accesses to my site in August. Search link on Google really reflects the access.
Why is it that I don't write something in "Topics", which is the most popular content in my site, with 418 views last month. It is not that I am lazy, but it is that I gave up writing something about light wave.
However, the particle causes interference with itself and makes interference stripes which is the property of the wave when the particle passes two slits. The wave of the light does not need a medium of the wave unlike a wave of the water (The special theory of relativity). Ether was regarded as the medium in old days. Is it the story of Quantum mechanics, which is my favorite subject? Unlike the primary wave of the sound, the light is a side wave with kind of the electromagnetic wave. Therefore Maxwell equations were presented, but I messed them with Schrodinger equation. I have to untangle my confusion of classical physics and modern physics.
The English version of "Topics" recorded 153 views from a variety of countries as national flags represent usage by country. I am impressed to know that my site is accessed from around the world. This is just because I have an English version of my website.
Please contact us if you want to make an English version of your website. Our staff includes a native speaker as well as a linguist. (Am I making a sales talk?).
The top five countries (except Japan) with most visitors to my site are U.S.A., India, Germany, Brazil, and Italy. As you can see, Great Britain is out of the ranking last month. Though I used a map of Great Britain as the background of "The Lounge" and I included an article on the Beatles, there seem to be fewer access to my site from the country.
The number of access has nothing to do with the background or the Beatles. But it has something to do with what my site deal with -- computer programming. The reason why India ranks second is that it is a country with the IT industry developing rapidly. Then how can I explain why Germany was in the third? Search me.
|Visitors Domain/Country Name|
October 7, 2007(The original Japanese version was written on August 13, 2007.)
|Number of visits||1040||816||1179|
|Links from Yahoo||542||239||297|
|Links from Google||222||194||466|
December of the previous year, was reduced to 816 in June this year (please refer to the table). There is no help for the site that is not updated so often. However, the number of visitors rose to 1,179 in July., assumedly as the result of the increase of search link from Google, from 194 in June to 466 in July
2...When I asked my friend, a webmaster of the site with many visitors, why the number of visitors to my site had increased, then he said that there was supposed to have been a TV program or something that dealt with beep sound . When a certain song was on air on TV, he said, his site had 500 accesses on the page related to the song for a few hours while it usually had 100 accesses a day. If television and a website are so closely related with each other, isn't it preferable that I should have a television set as a study aid for increasing access?
3...Anyway, until recently 'beep sounds',
'uniform speed extrusion ', 'Isothermal extrusion' and others have
been ranked among the top pages if
searched through engines other than Google. But now they are recognized
by Google, too. It is fun, isn't it? Google determines the rank by their special search engine formula to find out appropriate pages for users. There might have been some change to the formula, I guess.
4...By the way, according to the search
through Google, 'Isothermal extrusion'
RCDIGITAL is in the second place and 'uniform speed extrusion' RCDIGITAL is in the first place.
I think that my page should be the top result in 'Isothermal extrusion'
because the first one is simply an essay. As for "Uniform speed extrusion ", mine is shown at the top, with 'Recycling of aluminum of the association of Japanese aluminum at the second and 'Isothermal extrusion using a uniform temperature billet' by the Japan Institute of Light Metals at the third, The fourth is 'The present conditions and problems of the aluminum industry of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
5...Under the keyword 'Isothermal extrusion' you will get the essay
Japan Institute of Light Metals at the top, followed by that of RCDIGITAL.
The third is Three-dimensional Numerical Simulation of Non-isothermal and Non-Newtonian Flow in Twin Screw Extruders' by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the fourth is 'Isothermal extrusion using a uniform temperature billet' by the Japan Institute of Light Metals.
Surprisingly, I understood that the societies and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry were listed other than RCDIGITAL.

2...I can see the industrial port of Chiba from the porch of the office. At night, electric lights from the houses and buildings look beautiful. Chiba Port extends through eight cities, from Sodegaura City up to Ichikawa City. It is Japan's largest port in area, stretching over 133km shoreline. It has the second largest cargo volume handled next to Nagoya Port, 169.56 million tons in 2003. It is divided into such public wharves of Ichikawa, Funabashi Chuo, Funabashi Higashi, Chiba Chuo, Dezu, Ichihara, and Sodegaura. There are wharves exclusively for private enterprises as well. The photograph shows Dezu Wharf.
3...Mary Hopkin's Temma Harbour. It is the best "port" song, evoking a balmy tropical feeling. It made a hit in California many years after re-releasing. America is so large as to bring out time lag to make a song a big hit locally.
4...Long ago, when there were neither personal computers nor the Internet, I heard that human beings have eternal, infinite possibilities. I wondered if it was true, but now in this computer age it is no wonder, is it? The idea of the Internet was proposed by Paul Baran in 1962 and it was realized as ARPANET by ARPA of the U.S. Department of Defense in 1969. The idea of the PC (the computer) was proposed in 1946 by John von Neumann. The world's first von Neumann-type computer was EDSAC, which was developed in the U.K. in 1949.
5...I made the version up plan of Rakuraku Hojyobo(a purchase and sales book program) that is pending.

The access to musicleaves,
Windows Media server of my own, is currently unavailable because of
the relocation of my office. I am sorry for the inconvenience. I
have been doing repair work earnestly, but please wait for a while
until it is finished.
And contact rcdigital if you want your tune delivered. I will make a metafile for you.
My office is moving to a new location-- this time a condo. I have bought it not only because it is larger and more convenient than the previous estate but also because it seems to be a good investment for the future.

In the first year when Kiyohara1 moved to Yomiuri Giant professional baseball team, all he seemed to do was strikeout, which lead to what seemed to be heard as boos from the crowd.
It has been ten years since then.
Now, how about RCDIGITAL’s past, present and future?
1-1 One of the companies main objectives was to create a software program capable of controlling and maintaining the Uniform Speed Extrusion/Uniform Temperature Extrusion of the Aluminum Extrusion Press and having it accessible on a network. With the help of Yasuda Metal Industries, Ltd., we successfully developed this XP-based software program utilizing the .NET Platform and it is now being used by Yasuda Metal Industries, Ltd for their Aluminum Extrusion Press (See the rcdWin Function Explanation page for details).
1-2 Almost 1,000 visitors have come to RCDIGITAL’s homepage. The topics page is the most popular, especially, the “Beep Sound” topic, which has made RCDIGITAL famous in Japan with other pages having links to it. It is very mysterious and exciting, isn’t it? You should check it out for yourself, here.
1-3 Rakuraku Hojobo (an accounting program), which is free, is also popular. Many visitors have downloaded it, but the question is, are they using it?
The company has many current pending projects. With these projects in mind, we hope to accomplish the company’s objectives in the near future.
2-1 Version update of Rakuraku Hojobo.
2-2 The music delivery site, musicleaves.
2-3 Surveillance system used by mobile telephone
(A web camera is now available to control its direction by a PC or a mobile telephone ).
2-4 Web shop by Amazon’s web service.
3-1 Evaluating the results of pending projects.
3-2 OOP. Is it too late to find the pressure of OOP by studying Design Pattern?
3-3 Energy saving. As an Energy manager, I would like to study measures of global warming
3-4 Quantum information science. Thoughts on a new algorithm for a Quantum computer.
*Note 1: Kiyohara is the most famouse Japanese baseball player. He is often called a boss, because he looks like a big professional wrestler. He moved to Yomiuri Giant ten years ago from Seibu where he played 10 years. Now he is playing for Orix baseball team.

There is a lot of access to the Tropic’s “Beep Sound” page (although only in Japan), yet I have not written a new topic for more than a year. It would seem of interest to write a topic more often because of is high popularity, and would help in publicizing RCDIGITAL. So I have decided to write an essay about my favorite Fractal.
When I searched for books for “fractal” in Chiba prefecture’s central library, I found “A legend of a mirror” 1. Until recently, the library was under construction so that I could only find books by searching their website. The title seemed to be interesting but I wondered about the mysterious title of the book. I decided to borrow the book. Basically to understand a fractal, a complicated system and chaos a rational mind does not seem to be enough. (It seems we need to be a mystic to understand them).
The content of the book is simple enough for beginner students who are interested in a non-liner, complicated system, either chaos or a fractal. The book has a unique structure of its description. It could be a master piece. I was most interested in the soliton so that I wrote the essay about it. (See topics page)
There were many equations, which came from my old hydrodynamic textbook. There was also even an explanation of the soliton. It was good for me not to disregard the book.
*Note1: The book title “A legend of a mirror” is a Japanese translation. The original English title is “Turbulent Mirror”.

was told that when a English expert friend of mine visited this website’s
English lounge his PC froze, but when visiting the Japanese lounge it did
not freeze. While accessing the site with Windows XP, the page does not seem
to freeze, but he was using Windows 98. I immediately investigated the
problem using the WEB developer tool FrontPage and found many errors and
accessibility function of FrontPage.
However, I did not think they were the cause of the freeze.
In general, correcting errors on the website can be done by either changing the HTML in the CODE page or by directly editing in the DESIGN page using the FrontPage. By using FrontPage, changes can be made easily in the DESIGN page and it will change the HTML automatically. However, editions made in the DESIGN page creates HTML language that is very complex to understand, which makes editing the CODE page directly very difficult. Therefore, to address some problems on websites, the use of the CODE page to edit the HTML language directly using a website development procedure that has been specifically developed for HTML is preferred. But, because that is a time consuming process, I prefer editing using the DESIGN page.
Finally, I tried correcting the problem by removing the auditory samples of snowleaves from the English lounge page. I remade the new page of snowleaves and added it to the menu on the RCDIGITAL home page. When I asked my friend to access the page again using Windows 98, it did not freeze.
Since a webpage is accessed by various environments, it is difficult to test accessibility in all environments. Therefore, in general it is at least recommended that a test using the accessibility function of FrontPage for correction of errors in the HTML be done.

Last week I tested the rcdWin software used in making aluminum sash by the method of uniform temperature extrusion which is still rare in the field. Usually, the method of uniform velocity extrusion is selected in making the aluminum sash. And in some cases, the operator controls the ram speed manually. "Uniform Temperature Extrusion,".
