In January in South Korea, we did constant speed extrusion of aluminum. The aluminum extruder is made in USA of 3150 tons.
As for the previous 1,800 tons as well as the current 3150 tons, the parameters of the constant velocity extrusion program RcdWin hardly changed.
The company in Korea is not for building materials, but a company that produces extruded materials for industrial use.
A Japanese company producing industrial extruded materials have used the constant speed program RcdWin for more than 20 years. A Korean company also produced the same extruded material.
Constant velocity extrusion was possible with 2 holes of a circular pipe by pressure limitation of function of RcdWin. This is also well produced in Japan. This means that RcdWin can automate the technology of advanced extrusion workers. It is improvement of quality and productivity by the program.
There are two reasons why RcdWin is popular in Korea. It is that it is compatible with industrial use where such recent demand has increased and that constant speed extrusion can be done by both speed sensor and position sensor.
Other software companies and machine makers seem to be unable to extrude at the same speed with position sensors. However, Korean factories use position sensors.
Korea's constant speed extrusion using position sensors may all be RcdWin.
In the speed setting of constant speed extrusion introduced last year, [set in machine] was not popular among workers. For that reason, we made it possible to set the speed automatically. Execution of [+1 button] will increase the speed by 0.1[mm / s].Automatic speed setting. (click here).
The speed setting of the 3150 ton extruder became the touch panel input. RcdWin receives the speed setting on the network from the PLC. From now on, this type may increase.
Speed error of constant speed specification was ± 0.1 [mm / s]. The average error during constant speed at completion of extrusion was often -0.07 [mm / s], so there was no problem.

The spectrum analysis of ram speed data was made possible.
In the extrusion search program RcdWinMoni, extrusion data displayed on the screen is converted to a CSV file (a new function of RcdWinMoni).

The parameters of the program were almost automated according to the customer's request.
